我们经常用的这个“like”不难发现,它绝对是一个动词。但,like还有很多其他不同的用法,你知道吗?
1. 作名词的时候,意思是“喜欢的事物、喜欢的东西”。
例如:What are your likes? 你喜欢的东西是什么?
2. 差不多
I was there for like five years. 我去那儿差不多五年了。
Yesterday, I bought like five pears. 昨天,我买了差不多五个梨。
3. 像
He looks like Father Christmas. 他看起来像圣诞老人。
除了like本身这个单词的不同用法之外,还有一个我们非常熟悉的谚语也用到了这个单词:

2.like doing\like to do喜欢做某事;愿意做某事;(表示习惯)愿意,希望
理论上like doing表示正在进行的动作或经常性动作;like to do
表示特定的未来事件。但是,实际两种用法界限并非如此泾渭分明,尤其在美语中。随时随地看见遇见like to do表示经常性的动作的实例句子。

4.like sth. done或接adj.
I like my coffee strong.
